Landscape Architecture

Our landscape architects proactively participate in every phase of the project design and planning process, from assessing the physical amenities of each particular site to creating clear, attractive graphics for public presentation. By applying both artistic and scientific principles, we are able to harmoniously integrate a project into the surrounding natural fabric. In addition, MEA’s landscape architects can provide post construction inspection to determine installation conformance and plant health.

Careful analysis of each site is undertaken by our landscape architects to achieve a final site development that is in keeping with the environment. We assess the existing conditions and evaluate the development program to create a design responsive to our clients’ need and budget constraints.

From small urban parks to expansive athletic complexes, urban streetscapes to State highways, or intimate private residences to public plazas, MEA’s team of licensed landscape architects provide creative and practical solutions for private and public spaces where people work, live, and play. Our diversity of experience affords a depth of knowledge to draw upon in finding the right solution for our clients, whether it’s the development of conceptual plans or the appropriate construction details and specifications for use in residential, commercial, office, institutional, and recreational uses.

MEA’s landscape architects’ knowledge of native plant materials for use on LEEDS projects allows us to specify the most appropriate, hardy, and effective plant material suitable for the environmental conditions of the site and the maintenance program envisioned for the project.
