Whole Foods Market Metuchen Breaks Bread

A bread-breaking ceremony was held at Whole Foods Market Metuchen. On Wednesday, October 11, the doors to the 45,000-sf market opened, welcoming Middlesex County's first Whole Foods Market. Five percent of the day's net sales were donated to help upgrade sustainability and energy efficiency capabilities of Metuchen's historic Old Franklin Schoolhouse.

Next year, Somerset County will open its first Whole Foods Market, to anchor the shopping centers under construction on the east and west sides of Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater.
