Menlo Employee Wins 2018 NJ ASLA Professional Design Award

Congratulations to Menlo Engineering’s own Joseph Tidona and fellow Rutgers student, Edwin Gano, on winning the NJ ASLA 2018 Merit Award in the Student Category for their design of “Stair Side Farm.”

Their design for the main stairway to the state-of-the-art research facility that houses The New Jersey Institute of Food, Nutrition, and Health (IFNH) was influenced by the “Eat Well, Live Well” credo of the Harvest café located inside the building and incorporated native plants with various edible parts, chosen for their potential use for the Café, as well as vibrant flowers and diverse textures to provide both seasonal interest and encourage local engagement.

Joe started working at Menlo as a Landscape Designer prior to his graduation from Rutgers University in 2017 and has quickly established himself as an integral part of the Landscape Architecture team at Menlo Engineering.  Congratulations, Joe!
